“[Their deaths] show me the fragility of each circle of life and each family line.”

Ancestor: Mylan Arthur Marble

Descendant: Deborah H.

From the information found in the obituary of Hattie Marble, I found out that In 1899 at the age of 14, my grandfather and his younger sister Anna lost both their mother Hattie and father Eliphalet in a local typhoid epidemic.

Mylan — my grandfather — had it, too, but recovered. How the two youngsters survived after that, I have as yet to find out. But they did. If Mylan had succumbed, I know a whole lot of people who never would have been born.

It shows me the fragility of each circle of life and each family line. Unfortunately, I don't have any photos of any Marble ancestors. Just a picture of the obituary.
